The Seal of Certification program is designed to provide a clear set of guidelines and protocols for on-going, pro-active canine inspections for bed bugs.
Only those Companies implementing this rigorous set of protocols and standards can receive and display the coveted Seal. It symbolizes a commitment to use the proven technology of Canine detection combined with accepted best practices in an on-going and routine approach.
In order to qualify for the Seal of Certification, the following protocols must be implemented on an annual basis:
Thorough inspection every time a property is cleaned by Housekeepers who have received training from Dog Inspectors in the observation of visual signs of bed bugs.
Monthly inspection of every property by Pest Control for visual signs of bed bugs.
Twice a year canine inspection of every property by Dog Inspectors.
Re-inspection by Dog Inspectors’ canines of any property which has been treated in order to clear the property prior to being rented
Dog Inspectors’ detection canine teams are certified to be 95% accurate in a double blind test. Combined with current best practices, you can be assured that the highest standards for prevention in the fight against bed bugs are being implemented.
