One Dog , One Handler

The concept of the “Handler Team” is crucial. Each handler and dog become a team which is certified as a unit. Each of our dogs have only ONE handler and all of our handler-dog teams receive certification before entering the field. These certifications are actively maintained by working with Master Trainers.

Dog Training and Certication

Training and certification of detection dogs and their handlers is fundamentally important. The certification of all Dog Inspectors' handler/dog teams is based upon the most stringent law enforcement requirements which meets and exceeds the recommended standards as set forth in the Best Management Practices for Bed Bugs developed by the National Pest Management Association.

It is crucial that dogs are certified by an objective, third party which is unrelated to the company. That is why all of our handler/dog teams were certified by one of the nation’s top Master Trainers - Tom Brenneman and Vom Kaiserhofe. Tom Brenneman has spent decades training and certifying detection canines for the U.S. Army, DEA, Justice Department and Police Departments throughout the United States. Vom Kaiserhofe uses the same motivational training methods for bed bug detection that have made it the leader in providing all types of detection dogs for commercial and law enforcement purposes.
